Looking to learn more about the construction and composition of Manga and Comics? This is a beginner-friendly class designed to teach the basics of manga and comic construction that will focus on a different topic each session. These are topics that will be repeating, so if you miss one session with a topic that interests you, you will have a second opportunity to learn it.

During sessions you can expect to discuss popular manga and comic art forms, character design, composition and planning, background design, lettering and more. You will have the opportunity to practice your own manga/comic skills using provided practice materials. Participants are encouraged to bring a favorite manga or comic they wish to study to sessions to be used as examples of technique.

At the end of each class, participants can share their works and seek supportive feedback and guidance.
